The music festival is part of the global music initiative Fête de la musique, which takes place every year on June 21st all over the world. It takes place according to the following internationally defined guidelines of the French organization ADCEP:

- the festival takes place every year on the same day, June 21st,
- the festival is dedicated to live music, musicians, various musical genres, amateurs and professionals;
- all concerts/performances are free for listeners. The organizers and partners are committed to promoting live music and non-profit activities;
- the festival is primarily an event that takes place outdoors, on the street, in parks, playgrounds, etc. If the concerts take place in a hall or other space, free access must be ensured;
- performers do not receive a fee for their performance, but they can prepare a hat or a suitcase for voluntary contributions from the audience.

The Music Festival does not envisage a selection of registered musicians; all registered musicians are accepted, provided that the timing and technical specifics of the performance can be agreed with them.
